Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports - Former Columbus Defenseman Scott Harrington Back In North America After Spending A Year In Europe

Former Columbus defenseman Scott Harrington signed with the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL last month. The former Pittsburgh draft pick spent last year in Switzerland playing for the ZSC Lions where he played 14 games and had 4 points. The deal in Springfield is for one year.

Harrington played in 185 games for the Blue Jackets over parts of six seasons where he scored 7 goals and totaled 37 points. Kerby Rychel only played in 37 games for Columbus and 43 total NHL games. It's safe to say Columbus won this trade.

Scott Harrington also played 52 games for the Cleveland Monsters, most recently in the 2021-22 season. He had 7 points in 52 career games for Cleveland.

If you're a fan of Scott Harrington, you'll need to travel to watch him play. The Cleveland Monsters don't play the Springfield Thunderbirds this upcoming season, so you'd need to travel to Grand Rapids, Syracuse, Rochester, or Rockford to see him play.
