Last week, The Swiss Ice Hockey Association gave out their annual end-of-season awards last week.

They named former CBJ and Cleveland forward Calvin Thürkauf the MVP of Switzerland's top league, the National League.

Thürkauf played in 52 games for HC Lugano, which plays in Lugano, Switzerland. He led the team in goals, assists, and points, ending with a line of 28-32-60. He finished 3 points behind Marcus Sörensen of HC Fribourg-Gottéron for the league lead.
