Former Monster Thomas Schemitsch gets a Columbus camp invite after playing last season for Malmo of the SHL.
Schemitsch, a former draft pick by the Florida Panthers, last played in North America in 2022. He played for the Cleveland Monsters from 2020 to 2022. In 99 games for the Monsters, he scored 8 goals and totaled 41 points.
Schemitsch is a big defenseman, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing in at 205 pounds. The Thornhill, Ontario native has yet to break through and play an NHL game.
