Rick Bowness Provides Great Injury News Ahead Of This Weekends Games

The Columbus Blue Jackets head coach, Rick Bowness, had some good news regarding his team today after practice.

Bowness told the media that defenseman Damon Severson is expected to play this weekend. They play the Penguins on Friday, and then travel to St. Louis to take on the Blues on Saturday.

“At this point, we’re counting on him playing…he’s a huge part of this team.”

This is great news for the CBJ, who were bitten early by the injury bug. They lost Dante Fabbro and Ivan Provorov in camp, and Severson had shoulder surgery back in April.

Severson will play alongside Zach Werenski is all goes to plan.
