It is no secret that former Columbus Blue Jackets forward Matt Duchene can make a big impact offensively when he is playing at his best. That is certainly the case right now, as he has been off to an excellent start in the Dallas Stars' first-round series against the Minnesota Wild. While the series between the Stars and Wild is currently tied up, Duchene is doing all he can to help Dallas. In four games so far this postseason for the Stars, Duchene has recorded two goals, five assists, and seven points. With this, there is no question that the former Blue Jackets forward is on fire right now. Duchene has also recorded at least two points in each of his last three games for the Stars, so he has been staying consistent. This included him scoring a goal and having two assists in the Stars' Game 3 win over the Wild. Seeing Duchene producing so well offensively early on this postseason for the Stars is not surprising. After all, during his lone playoff run with the Blue Jackets in 2019, he had five goals, five assists, and 10 points in 10 games.
