Riding consecutive shutouts into Pittsburgh, Dallas looks to extend their dominance over a struggling Penguins squad as Tyler Seguin searches for his first point of the season.
On Saturday, the Dallas Stars will try to build on Thursday’s dominant shutout of the Buffalo Sabres as they wrap up their road trip against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
After scoring just one goal over their first two games, the Stars have outscored opponents 9-0 behind back-to-back shutouts from their defense and goaltender Jake Oettinger.
Dallas will catch the Penguins at a low point as Pittsburgh has gone the opposite direction, winning its first two games before dropping three straight, and will likely view this matchup between two playoff teams as a must-win to get back on track.
The Stars have largely owned the series in recent years, winning six of the last seven meetings, with four of those wins coming by multiple goals. One forward still looking for his first point is Tyler Seguin, who is back after an ACL injury ended his season last year. The 34-year-old last faced Pittsburgh in November 2024, when he scored in a 7-1 Dallas win.
