Dallas seeks a crucial home victory against rival Colorado. With Cale Makar sidelined and Jason Robertson heating up, see how the Stars stack their lines for this heavyweight clash.

On Tuesday, the Dallas Stars will look to bounce back from a tough shootout loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins last Saturday as they return to the Lone Star State for a marquee showdown with the Colorado Avalanche.

The rivalry between the two clubs has become well known in recent years. As perennial Cup contenders, they have met in multiple playoff series and produced plenty of exciting games over the past few seasons. In their most recent playoff series, Dallas edged out the win behind a Mikko Rantanen hat trick against his former team, a signature moment in the rivalry.

Both teams now enter pivotal seasons, with the Stars looking to rebound from a first-round exit in last year's postseason. Dallas may also get a boost on Tuesday, as Cale Makar is expected to be out of the Colorado lineup.

Momentum has been hard to come by in this matchup, but the Stars have recently had the upper hand, winning three of the last five meetings with the Avalanche. For Dallas, Jason Robertson makes the best case for a standout game. He has 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points in 24 career games against Colorado.
