The Dallas Stars made franchise history Monday night, securing their ninth consecutive victory with a dominant 6–1 win over the Vancouver Canucks. Despite facing the last-place team, Dallas was tested early when Evander Kane opened the scoring for Vancouver in a surprising start.
The Stars answered about ten minutes later, getting production from the bottom of the lineup as Adam Erne netted his fourth goal of the season. Being tied after two periods was not the script Dallas envisioned with history within reach, but they quickly seized control in the second period with a pair of rapid goals.
Defense prospect Lian Bichsel, who had just returned to the lineup, sparked the surge. Jumping into the play on a well-timed pinch, he drifted into the slot, took a crisp pass from defensive partner Ilya Lyubushkin, and wired a shot home from the high slot. Shortly after, on the power play, Jason Robertson pushed the lead to 3–1. From there, Dallas never looked back.

The Stars added three more goals in the third period to put the game out of reach. Matt Duchene continued his torrid stretch with another goal, while depth forward Colin Blackwell added to the outburst to make it 5–1. Bichsel capped the night with his second goal, and third of the season, finishing another aggressive pinch by taking a pass near the faceoff dot and snapping home a quick shot.
Bichsel was the clear standout, recording the first multi-goal performance of his career. Sam Steel and Colin Blackwell each turned in impressive multi-point efforts, providing unexpected offensive support. Meanwhile, key contributors Miro Heiskanen, Matt Duchene, and Jason Robertson also posted multi-point games.
