The Stars ignite their campaign this September with a high-stakes four-game exhibition slate, testing top prospects and veteran additions against fierce Central Division rivals in St. Louis and Minnesota.

As the NHL offseason is fully underway, the Dallas Stars are already looking ahead to next season, releasing their 2026 preseason schedule on Monday.

The slate includes four exhibition games, split evenly between home and road contests, with two matchups each against the St. Louis Blues and the Minnesota Wild, including two games at American Airlines Center.

Dallas opens preseason play on Saturday, Sept. 19, on the road against the Blues at Enterprise Center in St. Louis. The Stars then return home two days later to host St. Louis on Monday, Sept. 21, the first of their two games at American Airlines Center.

Dallas remains in Texas for its second home date on Wednesday, Sept. 23, when it welcomes the Wild, before closing out the exhibition slate on the road in Minnesota on Friday, Sept. 25.

The four-game preseason slate gives Dallas coaches a condensed window to evaluate returning veterans, offseason additions and prospects competing for roster spots as the team looks to build on another playoff appearance and continue establishing itself among the top contenders in the West.

Before any of those games get underway, the Stars will kick off their preseason preparations at the Prospect Tournament, running from Sept. 12-15 at the Belfor Training Center inside Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

The four-team event will also feature the host Red Wings, the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Pittsburgh Penguins, giving Dallas an early look at some of its top prospects and recent draft picks before the club transitions into main training camp.
