The Dallas Stars announced good news regarding defenseman, Miro Heiskanen while the Stars were on their four-game road trip.
Heiskanen last played on January 28th, against the Vegas Golden Knights when captain, Mark Stone, fell into Heiskanen, colliding with his knee. Losing Heiskanen for any extended period of time was concerning for the team, but there was a glimmer of hope when his timeline projected him back around the time of the playoffs.
As time has gone on, it has been reported that it is not likely Heiskanen is back for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and head coach Pete DeBoer stated he is prepared to have to win a round of playoffs without Heiskanen.
Now with around three weeks left, Heiskanen has started to skate back in Frisco, Texas while the team was in Canada. DeBoer stated that it was "all good things reported." However, it is too early to get an updated timeline to his return.
The Stars have returned home and take on the Nashville Predators at home on Thursday.
