Texas secures its offensive future by locking down breakout scorers Harrison Scott and Matthew Seminoff, ensuring the AHL’s most consistent threats remain pillars of the organization’s development.
The Dallas Stars announced Thursday that it has re-signed forwards Harrison Scott and Matthew Seminoff to two-year, two-way contract extensions, locking both players up through the 2027-28 season. The pair were among the most consistent contributors for AHL Texas this past season and played pivotal roles in the club's postseason run.
Scott, 25, made an immediate impression in his first professional season with the San Jose native appearing in 72 games with Texas. He recorded 18 goals and 14 assists for 32 points while ranking fifth on the club with 122 shots on goal. His ability to get pucks on net translated into clutch moments as well, with Scott potting two game-winning goals on the year.

Seminoff, 22, was the offensive engine of the Texas Stars all season long. The Leesburg, Virginia native led the entire roster in both goals with 24 and shots on goal with 153, while his 50 points in 72 games ranked second on the club. He was originally selected by Dallas in the sixth round of the 2022 NHL Draft and has developed into a legitimate scoring threat but at the AHL level.
Together, the two forwards helped push Texas into the postseason, with the Stars advancing to the Central Division Semifinals before falling to the eventual conference champion Chicago Wolves in a hard-fought five-game series that went the distance.
