DALLAS - The Stars closed out their two-game road trip with a 3-2 victory over the Ducks at Honda Center on Thursday night.
Head coach Pete DeBoer's contingent has now earned five out of a possible six points to begin the season, improving to 2-0-1 after three games.
Defenseman Miro Heiskanen scored the game-winner at the 6:47 mark of the third period with his first goal of the year, snapping a 2-2 tie for good.
Heiskanen also assisted on goals by Roope Hintz and Joe Pavelski for a notable three-point effort.
Hintz's goal was his first of the year, and it came on the power play.
Pavelski, meanwhile, netted his second tally of the campaign.
The goal also came with the man advantage.
Goaltender Jake Oettinger continued his outstanding work between the pipes, stopping 27 of 29 shots
Oettinger has started all three contests for Dallas thus far this season.
The Stars are back in action on Saturday night when they host the Flyers at American Airlines Center.
