Dallas is looking to build on a season-opening victory over St. Louis.
DALLAS - After a short team bonding stay in Palm Springs, the Stars begin their first road trip of the season tonight with a matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena. Puck drop is 9:30 p.m. CT.
This, of course, marks a rematch of the most recent edition of the Western Conference Finals that saw Dallas fall in six games.
The Golden Knights own a perfect 3-0-0 record thus far this year, with two of those victories coming on home ice. Chandler Stephenson leads the squad in scoring with five points (2 goals, 3 assists).
The Stars, meanwhile, haven't played since last Thursday when they secured a 2-1 shootout win over the Blues in the season opener at American Airlines Center.
Jason Robertson and Matt Duchene scored in the shootout, while goaltender Jack Oettinger was a rock between the pipes.
The key figure missing for that contest was veteran forward Roope Hintz, who has battled an upper-body injury.
It remains to be seen if Hintz will be available to face Vegas, but that answer should come at the morning skate beginning at 1:00 p.m. CT.

Dallas will travel to Anaheim after the game.
Head coach Pete DeBoer's contingent will face the Ducks on Thursday night at Honda Center before returning to Texas.
