Dallas boosts blue line with Michigan Tech standout. Jack Anderson inks entry-level deal, joining Texas Stars for pro debut Saturday.

The Dallas Stars added defensive depth to their system on Wednesday, signing undrafted college prospect Jack Anderson to a two-year entry-level contract.

The 23-year-old native of St. Louis is coming off the final season of his collegiate career at Michigan Tech University, where he posted 24 points and a plus-13 rating in 39 games for the Huskies. His strong senior campaign helped solidify his path to the professional ranks after going undrafted.

Before transferring to Michigan Tech, Anderson spent three seasons at Lindenwood University. During his time with the Lions, he recorded 25 points in 90 games, though he finished with a minus-22 rating while developing his game at the collegiate level.

Anderson will now take the next step in his career by joining the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League to close out the season. He is expected to make his professional debut Saturday on the road against the Henderson Silver Knights.
