Next season's NHL Global Series participants were reported Friday, and the Dallas Stars will head to Finland for two games against the Florida Panthers.
David Pagnotta of the NHL Network reported Friday that the Stars and Florida Panthers will meet for a two game series in Tampere, Finland in November.
Both teams are stacked with plenty of Finns on their roster, with Dallas featuring Miro Heiskanen, Esa Lindell, Roope Hintz and Jani Hakanpaa and Florida represented by Aleksander Barkov, Eetu Luostarinen, Anton Lundell and Niko Miikola.
This is the second time the Stars have ever been selected to play overseas, but the first occasion, a preseason game in China against the Los Angeles Kings, was cancelled due to COVID.
Two opening season games in Prague were also announced for next season, with the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils taking part in those. The league has been to Prague multiple times to kick off the season.
The NHL played four games in Sweden this season, with Toronto, Detroit, Minnesota and Ottawa taking part.
