Harley's last-minute blast secured a crucial victory, etching his name alongside NHL legends with game-deciding heroics.

The Dallas Stars held a 3-0 lead over the St. Louis Blues entering the third period on Tuesday before the Blues staged a furious comeback, scoring three times to nearly force overtime.

With just over a minute remaining in regulation, center Wyatt Johnston won a faceoff to Thomas Harley. Harley quickly fired a shot that deflected off a Blues defender and went over goaltender Jordan Binnington’s glove, giving Dallas the late go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal. This was the second leg of a home-and-home series, where the Stars also scored a late go-ahead goal in the first matchup last Saturday, with Jason Robertson netting the game-winner in the final minute of regulation.

The goal was Harley’s third of the season and a major milestone, making him the fourth active NHL defenseman with multiple go-ahead goals in the final 90 seconds of regulation, joining Shea Theodore, Drew Doughty, and Charlie McAvoy.

Harley has recorded three goals and 17 assists for 20 points this season, averaging 23 minutes of ice time per game through 41 games.

The Stars’ win was their third in the last four games and signals that Dallas is starting to pick up momentum once again. The team will continue its road trip with a stop in Sin City on Thursday to take on the Vegas Golden Knights.
