Here’s a thought:

A trade: CHI gets Faulk and Raz. DRW gets Frondell and Nestrasil CHI needs a good D. Ellis may not bounce back. Either way - their D really sucks. They can do what they will with Raz. He could be a good AHL player (?) DRW get two young forwards for their rebuild. Both teams - win!3d

Larkin Trade - Boston

Just saw a creative trade that I think would be very good value for Larkin. Middlestadt, Lohrei, Simpson and a 2nd for Larkin. I like this trade - except Boston also takes Compher and the 2nd becomes one of Boston’s two 1st rounders. Middlestadt becomes DRW’s 2nd line center. DRW also has more draft capital to make a trade for a 1st line Center. This type of trade fills in A LOT of holes! Simpson is a top prospect to add to the 3-4 that DRW has now. Larkin plays with Pasternak - not bad. Compher can play wherever - as long as he us gone!2w

With Kane gone - so goes Debrincat, I believe. The new GM offers him a 6 year- $12MM/yr contract. If he says ‘no’ - trade him. I think Detroit would get at minimum: a first, an NHL player and a very good prospect ! They might even throw in Raz or Appleton and get that second rounder they are missing next draft! I also think the new GM must look to the future when going about the Larkin trade. If he gets two firsts and a player for Larkin - perfect! DRW is going to have to do a quick rebuild. They can do it with so many good prospects. The middle prospects - well they are cannon fodder for trades for bottom six forwards and third line D men1mo
