As the Red Wings look to snap out of an eight regulation losses in nine games funk, they'll have to overcome a number of injuries and moving parts up and down the lineup.

Captain Dylan Larkin (out since March 2nd's game against the Panthers) took part in this morning's skate, but neither Jake Walman, nor Michael Rasmussen (both of whom played in Detroit's loss in Pittsburgh Sunday) did.

Per coach Derek Lalonde, Larkin—who took line rushes with Andrew Copp and Christian Fischer, but did not take reps with either Red Wing power play unit—will not be available tonight against the Blue Jackets.

When asked whether Larkin will be an option for Thursday's game against the Islanders, Lalonde said, "I don't know yet.  I wouldn't put him in that 'day-to-day' [yet].  Obviously a positive that he skated.  We'll get a full practice with him tomorrow and have a better feel.  I think Thursday might be a little aggressive, but it's progressed pretty well each day."

Walman will also be unavailable tonight.  He has been dealing with a "lower body nagging issue for a while, so we're gonna get him some time to rest it," per Lalonde. Lalonde also revealed that Rasmussen is battling an illness going around the locker room, saying "He's under the weather, and we'll hope to have him on a game-time decision."

Lalonde said that Detroit will warm up with an extra skater and extra defenseman tonight and make a decision on the final lineup after warm-ups conclude.
