Detroit's scorching new top line looks to extend a two-game winning streak as the Red Wings seek revenge against a resilient Kraken squad in a pivotal clash.

On Tuesday, the Detroit Red Wings will try to extend a two-game winning streak against a surprisingly solid Seattle Kraken team.

After finishing in the bottom six of the standings last season, the Kraken are back in full force, with five wins in their first seven games, including a 6-3 victory over the Red Wings in Detroit at the start of the year. Seattle comes in having lost two straight and will look to rebound, while Detroit hopes to keep its momentum rolling, setting up an exciting clash.

It will be the 11th all-time meeting between the clubs. Seattle's win earlier this season snapped a five-game winning streak for the Red Wings in the series, and Detroit will look to bounce back in a matchup it has largely dominated. A win would also move the Red Wings closer to an even record and keep them just two points out of a playoff spot.

An x-factor in the game could be Detroit's new top line. Alex DeBrincat, along with young forwards Emmitt Finnie and Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, has been off to a hot start, with the trio combining for 10 goals this season.
