2023 Red Wings first round pick Nate Danielson scores a goal and give four assists in a 10-2 rout of the Everett Silvertips

Last night at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, 2023 Detroit Red Wings first round pick Nate Danielson helped pave the way to a 10-2 Winterhawks rout over the visiting Everett Silvertips. With the win, Portland moved into sole possession of first place in the WHL's American Division.
Danielson scored the Winterhawks' third goal, which would ultimately prove the game-winner, while also picking up four assists along the way for a five-point night.
Since being traded from Brandon at the WHL's trade deadline, Danielson has four goals and 15 assists for 19 points in 12 games with the Winterhawks. He has also earned a +11 rating in those games. He's been held off the scoresheet just twice since he arrived in Portland compared to five different games in which he's put up multiple points, with this latest effort his best to date.
In his 26 games with the Wheat Kings before the trade, Danielson was exactly a point-a-game player, putting up 12 goals and 14 assists. 19 points in 12 games with the Winterhawks puts him at a 1.58 point-per-game pace.
Between his uptick in scoring and Portland's place in the standings, the early returns on Danielson's trade to the Winterhawks could hardly be better.
