Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin, who is being heavily booed by fans at Little Caesars Arena every time he touches the puck in his season debut, responded by scoring.
For the first time since his controversial summer trade request, Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin hit the ice in game action on Tuesday evening at Little Caesars Arena.
As he was during the pre-game introductions on Friday with the rest of the club's inactive players, Larkin, who is no longer the team captain, was heavily booed as soon as he stepped onto the ice for his first shift, and even more so when he had the puck for the first time.
However, Larkin had the perfect response - scoring a goal.
He converted on a centering pass from Viktor Arvidsson, beating goaltender Samuel Ersson between the pads. He not only picked up his first goal of the season in his debut, but also gave the Red Wings their first lead of the young campaign.

And as Larkin's goal was announced by public address announcer Erich Freiny, the reaction was a healthy amount of cheering.
