According to Grand Rapids Griffins head coach Dan Watson, goaltender Michal Postava is set to be called up to the Red Wings.

The Detroit Red Wings picked up a valuable point in the standings on Tuesday evening, battling back from a three-goal deficit in the third period against the Seattle Kraken despite ultimately falling in a shootout.

Their four-game road swing continues on Thursday evening with a tilt against the Vancouver Canucks, and it appears as though they'll have a new goaltender along for the ride.

According to recent comments made by Grand Rapids Griffins head coach Dan Watson, goaltender Michal Postava is joining the big club.

"Posty will get called up (to Detroit) tomorrow," Watson said. "He got called up late tonight, he'll be joining the Red Wings on their West Coast trip."

As of now, the Red Wings have not clarified whether this means that there is an injury to either John Gibson or Daniil Tarasov.

So far this season with the Griffins, Postava is a perfect 4-0 with a sparkling 1.25 goals-against average and a .954 save percentage.
