An update on the status of Dylan Larkin, J.T. Compher, Klim Kostin, and Christian Fischer

An update on the status of Dylan Larkin, J.T. Compher, Klim Kostin, and Christian Fischer

The Detroit Red Wings practiced early Friday afternoon ahead of a trip to Philadelphia for a game with the Flyers tomorrow.  After that practice, coach Derek Lalonde provided an update on the status of his injured players.

First, Dylan Larkin—who wore a gray non-contact jersey and participated in yesterday's morning skate—did not take part in the session, but Lalonde explained that wasn't a signal of any kind of setback: "We had a really long hard day yesterday, so as part of the process, give him the day off today to do some other things off the ice.  It's gonna take a little time."

Meanwhile, both J.T. Compher and Klim Kostin were full participants in practice, and Lalonde said that he is "confident we're gonna get both of them for tomorrow.  We'll see how they respond from practice today.  Kostin I would 100% count on him for tomorrow, and J.T. we'll see how he responds from practice."

Finally, Christian Fischer—who played last night against the Hurricanes—did not skate either, but Lalonde said it was just a maintenance day and that he is counting on Fischer for tomorrow night.

With the Red Wings having now lost four of five, the reinforcements are coming at the right time for Detroit to recapture its winning form.
