Life is boring without hockey. While the Stanley Cup Final gives us one last run of the world's most beautiful sport, in just a few weeks, it'll be a long summer until the start of training camp.

So if we can't watch hockey, let's read about it!

This summer, THN Detroit is starting a summer book club. Every week, we'll pick a hockey book to read and discuss on our website. If you'd like to read along and share your thoughts, we'll also host online discussions about the books on our new THN Forums page. And, fingers crossed, we might even get some authors to join us on The Silky Mitten State to talk about their work.

Now, every good book club starts with choosing some books, so we'd like to hear your recommendations. Head over to our Forums page here and comment the books you'd like to read with us. These can range from classic installments in the hockey canon, all the way to contemporary breakthroughs in research and hockey history.
