The Detroit Red Wings selected Slovakian goaltender Michal Pradel with their third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.

With the 75th overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, the Detroit Red Wings selected goaltender Michal Pradel from the Tri-City Americans of the USHL.

The 18-year-old netminder has proven to be one of his countries brightest as he excelled when joining the USHL, where played stellar with a 9-4-0 record and 2.41 goals against average. Prodel hasn't found the same level of success and prospects from other nations but has played on multiple national teams including ages above him like when he played for the U-20 team at the 2025 U-20 IIHF World Championships. He struggled along with his team against older kids but when playing for the U-18 team, he did fairly well with a 4-3-0 record held up by a 2.46 goals against average.

Pradel has proven that no matter the team in front of him, he will still put up impressive numbers and will get to join an elite group of goalie prospects, with Sebastian Cossa and Trey Augustine, that will help him grow even more.
