Detroit's most important business of the summer still isn't done, with Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond still un-signed. As training camp approaches, when does that start to become a concern?

On the latest episode of The Silky Mitten State, my co-host Connor Earegood and I discussed the topic at the forefront of every Red Wing fan's mind at the moment: When are these Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond contract extensions going to get done?

Rather than just guessing as to how close either player is to putting pen to paper on the extensions Detroit fans are desperate to see become official, we tried to consider just how much it matters that, as of this writing, each player remains un-signed.

Connor made the case that the un-signed contracts suggest some larger issues, given that Steve Yzerman has thus far been able to accomplish what everyone knew to be his most important task of the summer as Labor Day has come and gone.  I argued that as long as the contracts do get signed to satisfactory numbers by the season, no one will remember the summer's anxiety.
