Patrick Kane, Ben Chiarot, and Ville Husso are all set to return to game acton following the Red Wings' All-Star

As the Detroit Red Wings held their first practice following the All-Star break and team's bye week, there was good news on the injury front. Patrick Kane, Ben Chiarot, and Ville Husso were all full participants in practice. While all three were expected to return to action following the break, it is nonetheless a welcome development that none suffered any sort of setback.
"It was nice to have an extra week to 10 days there to give it some more time and not rush back," Kane—who has been out since January 14th—said from his locker after practice. "You look at a team like Vancouver [whom Detroit plays Saturday], they're gonna be playing two games before they play us, so it's not like you're coming off [the break] at the same time...but within I guess within the locker room it's nice to be on the same level as everyone here and come back and just, especially after the break, slide into the lineup and get into a good spot where you feel like you're comfortable and ready to go."
"You want to go out and feel it out and play simple to start, get your game back a little bit to the point where I've kinda felt like before I got hurt you start trying to be dynamic and get the puck and feel good and drive it a little bit, control the game, things like that," Kane added when asked about the process of recovering his sense of comfort and returning to the lineup.
Chiarot—who was injured on the 19th of January against Carolina—and Husso—who had been out since December 18th—are both also fully recovered from their injuries.
"Obviously you saw we had Benny back with [Jeff Petry] and then we have Patty helping our top six, and obviously Ville will be available," said Derek Lalonde after practice. "Knock on wood, we're healthy, and we're gonna have some tough decisions for scratches, but that's all part of it. Those are good problems to have. You saw us in December. We had trouble fielding a lineup with all the guys we had out, so good time being healthy."
