The Minnesota Wild have signed veteran goaltender Calvin Pickard to a one-year, $1 million contract for the 2026–27 season.

The 34-year-old brings experience from 11 NHL seasons, appearing in 191 games with a 74-77-14 record, 2.96 GAA, and .901 save percentage. He also has playoff experience, posting an 8-2 record with Edmonton.

Last season, Pickard split time between the Oilers and AHL Bakersfield, struggling at the NHL level but remaining a reliable minor-league option. A former second-round pick, Pickard has also represented Canada internationally and won a Calder Cup with the Toronto Marlies in 2018.
