False Jason Dickinson Rumor Squashed As Oilers Practice on Monday

Whatever led to an account suggesting Jason Dickinson was done for the entire 2026-27 season is unclear. But as of Monday's practice, the forward was on the ice with the Edmonton Oilers, and he's certainly not being put on the shelf all season. A random account called Draft Watch 3.0 -- an account with no insider knowledge -- posted, "Word is Jason Dickinson is going to be done for the season." As can happen, these unsubstantiated accounts can pick up steam, and before long, people believe the reports to be accurate. They're often not. After allowing 13 goals in two games, the Edmonton Oilers appear to be making a switch on their blue line. It appears Shakir Mukhamadullin -- who has struggled early in the year -- is coming out of the lineup and Ty Emberson is coming in. Darnell Nurse Just Won Over Oilers Fans in a Way He Never Could in Edmonton

Now that Darnell Nurse is no longer an Edmonton Oiler, it seems like fans have given themselves permission to like him again. Oilers Find Workaround To NHL's Polarizing Jersey Tuck Rule

The Edmonton Oilers, or at least a few of their players, have found a workaround to the NHL's jersey tuck rule that garnered attention when Trevor Zegras got a two-minute penalty in a preseason game. Using the fightstrap on the gear as a way to get around "Tuckgate". Kevin Bieksa walked through the creative fix and said you do the fightstrap and loop it underneath and the push the already tied up fightstrap overtop of the pant, and it gives players the bunched up natural tuck so that their jerseys aren't hanging.
