David Tomasek will be placed on waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract. The Oilers and the forward will part ways, and it's an interesting question: did David Tomasek get a fair look in Edmonton?

He started the season with top power play minutes, then became a frequent healthy scratch. He had five points in 22 games and speed was a question.
