Darnell Nurse has said hello to his new fans in San Jose. The Sharks posted a video of the former Oilers defenseman saying he's excited to start the next chapter of his career. 

Early fan reaction from the Sharks is that they've got someone who can help them. 

"He’s going to be a good addition. He will provide a veteran stability to the blue line that is desperately needed. Is he overpaid? Sure, but we have tons of cap space in the short-term to absorb the money," wrote on user on X.com. 

Even Oilers fans chimed in. "Die hard Oilers fan here. Great great guy & player! I was fortunate enough to meet him a few times and he was awesome. One of my favourite Oiler players I’ve met. You guys will love him."

Oilers fans are wishing him good luck, but not too much as he's in the same division as Edmonton.
