Scott Wheeler of The Athletic took a look at the top 100 NHL-drafted prospects, and Edmonton's Ike Howard ranked 62nd on his list. Howard was the only Oiler in the top 100.

Wheeler noted that Howard rebounded from an inconsistent freshman season to star at Michigan State Spartans men's ice hockey, winning the 2024-25 Hobey Baker.

He is described as a skilled, offensively dangerous winger with strong instincts. He thrives around the net and on the power play. Wheeler notes that while still adjusting to pro hockey with the Oilers, Howard's track record suggests top-six potential.

Is this a fair assessment of Howard? Should more than one Oiler have ranked in the top 100?
