Ultimate Irony Surfacing At Oilers Training Camp

Given Mark Messier's recent comments about the Edmonton Oilers' decision to hire Mike Babcock, a fascinating bit of irony is surfacing from camp. 

Before training camp began, the two sessions of Oilers who took the ice at different times, while the roster was full of prospects, were each given a name. One was Team Gretzky. The other was Team Messier. 

One has to wonder if the Oilers would have named the second group Team Messier if they were aware he might come out and heavily criticize the team for the way Babcock was hired.
