Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed that both Connor McDavid and Jason Dickinson were dealing with fractures in their foot/ankle area that impacted their skating and availability during the first-round series with the Anaheim Ducks. 

Stan Bowman also noted, “Dickinson and Connor were fighting through a lot to be able to be in the lineup “.

Knoblauch added, "I have a lot and admiration for their willingness to battle through and get on the ice."
