The Edmonton Oilers morning skate on Monday was loaded with media and players, all of whom were on the ice, but some of whom were in gray jerseys.

Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman were extras on the ice skating, but will not be playing tonight as the Edmonton Oilers take on the Colorado Avalanche.

As far as the update on Draisaitl goes, he’ll be out the rest of the regular season and he’s still a maybe for the playoffs, saying at the end of practice that this is an injury you can’t force and he needs to make sure that he’s ready to go. “There are steps,” he said.

Hyman will not play again on Monday, but he could be an option for the team on Thursday.

Jason Dickinson will be out the rest of the regular season and it’s possible that he will miss playoff action, while Max Jones will be out 3 to 4 weeks.
