
The Edmonton Oilers announced a series of hockey operations promotions on Thursday. Each is aimed at strengthening key areas such as analytics, scouting, and player development.
Michael Parkatti was elevated to Vice President of Analytics and Technology, highlighting the organization’s growing reliance on data-driven decision-making. Kirt Hill takes over as Assistant GM of Player Procurement, while Kalle Larsson and Toby Salmelainen step into assistant GM roles focused on development, innovation, and European operations.
Additional promotions include Andreas Karlsson as Director of Player Development and Justin Mahe as Director of Hockey Operations and Player Experience. The Oilers also made changes within the Edmonton Oil Kings, naming Michael Chan as President and GM, with Jamie Jackson becoming Director of Scouting.
GM Stan Bowman emphasized that these moves reflect the team’s commitment to long-term success through improved infrastructure and global talent development.
