The Edmonton Oilers lived to fight another day. In their first elimination game in Round 1 of the NHL playoffs, the Oilers pulled out a 4-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks. It was Edmonton’s most dominant performance of the first round and the big guns showed up.

If Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Evan Bouchard can stay their dynamic and it’s nearly impossible to stop them. Still, the Ducks haven’t been an easy challenge. 

The pressure remains on the Oilers because a single loss now eliminates them. There is growing pressure on the Ducks, and close out games can be difficult.
