Change is coming after the Edmonton Oilers fall 6-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes.
This 6-3 loss at the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes has to be the last straw. Something has to happen to turn this team around.
The Edmonton Oilers need a goalie or a new GM. And do you really want the guy who is on the last year of an expiring contract to pull the trigger on a trade?
Desperation is the foundation of terrible trades. Ken Holland cannot be allowed to make a trade tonight. Or any other night - because he should be let go before he leaves the arena.
The time is now to act. A new goalie needs to be brought in, maybe a new defender or two. A shake up needs to happen to give the players a boost.
The players have the skill to be better than this. Right now they need something big to get them out of their funk.
And they need a new GM to do it.
