The Edmonton Oilers begin the Kris Knoblauch era tonight. The 3-9-1 Oilers play the 5-5-3 New York Islanders. This is their first meeting of the season.
Stuart Skinner will be starting in goal for the Oilers. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl will center the top two lines.
Sam Gagner will get a look with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and McDavid on the team's top line. It will be interesting to see how much lines change (or don't change) during tonight's game.
The Islanders will start Ilya Sorokin in net. At practice this morning these are the lines that they ran with.
As per Andrew Gross via my associate Stefen Rosner, this is how the lines will shake out against the Oilers.
Game is at 6:30 PM Mountain Time.
