Back-to-Back

The Stars play the Calgary Flames tomorrow night, in Calgary. So they will be on their second game of a back-to-back. The Flames will be seeking redemption from their loss at the hands of the Oilers at the Heritage Classic.

The Oilers will need to get off to a quick start against the Stars. Having the momentum swing against the Stars early will be a key to winning the game.

Sitting Near the Top

The Stars are in a position that the Oilers wanted to be in to start the year. They are second on the Central Division and third overall in the Western Conference.

With last night's 5-3 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets they improved to 5-1-1 for the season.

Elite Starting Goalie

Jake Oettinger is an incredible goaltender. He is off to a torrid pace to start the season. He has a record of 5-0-0 to go along with a 1.95 goals against average (GAA) and a .939 save percentage (SV%).

Given that they play the night before, there is a chance that they could face the backup goalie, Scott Wedgewood. With a 1-1-0 record and a 3.54 GAA along with a .889 SV%. This will be a major thing to monitor the game before, as the starter for that game is likely to not face the Oilers.
