The Edmonton Oilers will be harder on themselves than the media and fans are on them.

The Edmonton Oilers have lost to the Philadelphia Flyers by a score of 4-1. This is only the fourth game of the year, so there is no need to panic... yet.

The Oilers were outworked in every way by the Flyers. The Flyers out-shot them 33 to 23. They blocked 19 shots while the Oilers only blocked six.

The Oilers only had two power play opportunities - and scored on neither of them.

They lost the faceoff battle, winning only 48% of the draws over the course of the three periods.

All in all, it was a lackluster game from the Oilers. They will look to regroup on Saturday - where they will face the Winnipeg Jets for an 8pm start.
