The Edmonton Oilers have extended their winning streak to six games after a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Wild. The Oilers weathered a flurry of chances at the end of the game despite having double of the total shots that the Wild had.
Evan Bouchard.Evan Bouchard led the way with two goals and one assist in 22:22 of total ice time for the game. He was named the first star of the win.
Stuart Skinner stopped 17 of the 20 shots that were fired his way. When asked about Bouchard's shot he initially responded in jest, "super easy to stop. Not hard at all."
One thing that Skinner looks forward to by facing Bouchard shots in practice is getting prepared for game situations. "It actually prepares me for a lot of games, especially when I'm getting one-t's off the right side, maybe from (Alex) Ovechkin."
Evan Bouchard.Ultimately Skinner doesn't think anyone else in the league holds a candle to his shot, "I think he's got potentially the hardest shot in the NHL."
That's some incredible praise from his goaltender. In a league that boasts such incredible goal scorers as Steven Stamkos, Alex Ovechkin, and fellow teammates Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid - it's another gift to Oilers fans to have this player on their blueline.
