The Edmonton Oilers look to keep the ball rolling against Ken Holland's former team. They are looking for their 22nd win of the season and their franchise-tying ninth win in a row.

This will be their first time playing the Detroit Red Wings this season - with the second meeting coming up in February. The game is set to start at 5 PM Mountain Time.
Judging by the lines at practice today the Red Wings will not dress former Oilers forward Klim Kostin tonight. While things change rapidly in this business, that is the projected decision.
It's a tale of two teams for this contest. The Red Wings have split their past 10 games down the middle, with five wins and five losses. The Copper and Blue are on a hot streak, with no plans on slowing down.
They did not give their best effort against the Chicago Blackhawks the other night - despite adding another win to their record. Stuart Skinner kept them in the game and they scored just enough to win.

Tonight will present an excellent time to reset. They registered eight of their 15 shots in the first period in Tuesday's game. They will need to put the pedal to the medal and get more shots on net this game. They can't take any team for granted, and the Red Wings are included in that.
