The Edmonton Oilers are going streaking. After winning against the Seattle Kraken by a 4-1 score, they get a win against the New York Islanders by the same score.
In the words of Kris Knoblauch they tried "low percentage plays" all night. He also mentioned that they "didn't take any unnecessary risks."
Watching the game myself I agree that the team held back, for the most part. They were not as aggressive as they could have been. They stayed patient and once the damn broke, they were rewarded with three goals.
Leon Draisaitl went beast mode and recorded his 24th career four-point game - surpassing his new assistant coach for sixth most in Oilers history. He was determined and looked like a man on a mission tonight. He finished the game with one goal, three assists and two shots.

Stuart Skinner was phenomenal in net. He was challenged early but stood his ground. He gave the Oilers a chance to win and was rewarded with his third win of the season.
The Oilers improve to 4-9-1 with nine points on the season. Their next game is on Wednesday the 15th when they look to get another win against the Kraken.
