EDMONTON -- Tonight's game should be a doozy.

The Edmonton Oilers are one game away from having their backs against the wall in their series against the Dallas Stars. Down 2-1 in the series they will look to draw even tonight.

Kris Knoblauch looks to be switching some things up with his lineup. Although in his words, everyone will have to wait for the "big showcase" tonight.

Given who stayed out late for today's optional skate - we have an idea of who is going to be coming out of the lineup.

Sam Carrick

Sam Carrick has been a welcomed addition to the lineup since he came back in. However, when push comes to shove there are changes that need to be made.

Taking Carrick out makes sense - especially if it means that Ryan McLeod is coming back into the lineup. It also means that Derek Ryan is likely to move down the pecking order to be the fourth line center.

Vincent Desharnais

Vincent Desharnais has had a solid playoffs - despite some of the numbers. There are times when he doesn't appear to be fast enough to keep up to the pace of the opposition.

Replacing him with a player like Philip Broberg makes sense - Broberg is a much better skater who has more offensive awareness in addition to good puck skills that can only help against a mobile team like the Stars.

Warren Foegele

Warren Foegele has one assist and two goals through 15 playoff games so far this post season. While points aren't everything - Foegele has been contributing in other ways.

He's been a big part of the penalty kill and has been an incredibly effective forechecker. Some Oilers fans might be cranky that his point production hasn't been more substantial, but that's only a fraction of what Foegele brings to the team.

With Foegele coming out it's likely that Corey Perry comes back in. Where each player will skate has not been revealed - as that is something else Knoblauch stayed mum about in his post-morning skate scrum.
