Connor McDavid is finished with talking about last season and how things ended in the Stanley Cup Final.

EDMONTON -- It's the start of a new season.

Yet, some in the Edmonton Oilers orbit can't stop talking about it.
During yesterday's media availability, Connor McDavid was at the end of one of these questions. It was a pleasant scrum, but McDavid quickly jumped in and moved the conversation.
A local reporter was framing a question about the new Amazon series and the locker room's emotional state after the Game 7 loss. Before he could get to his question, McDavid piped up.
"Enough about last year," McDavid interjected. "Enough about last year."
The same reporter followed up by asking what emotion or lesson could be brought into this year from last year.
"It's about this year," McDavid responded. "We've talked a lot about last year. A lot of different questions about it, a lot of different things about last year. I've answered all of them."
"But we are moving on."

Frankly speaking, everyone else should too.
Last time I checked, tonight is game one of 82 for the Oilers. It's been a few months since the team lost the Stanley Cup Final. McDavid is focused on tonight's game, not the hardest thing he's ever gone through professionally.
He's doing the healthy thing. His eyes are forward, and McDavid's looking to take it one game at a time. He focuses on taking care of business every day at the rink.

Yes, the Amazon Series has made everything fresh in the public's mind. While that is great for fans and welcoming new fans to the sport, it doesn't service McDavid to field another question about it.
McDavid has turned the page on last year; it's time everyone else did, too.
