EDMONTON -- The good times keep rolling.

The good times for some former Edmonton Oilers that is.

Last night the St. Louis Blues handed the Toronto Maple Leafs their second consecutive loss. Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway contributed the first three goals in a 5-1 victory.

Those offer sheets were money well spent.

"I think it was a big team effort," Holloway said in the post-game scrum. "Binner (Jordan Binnington) stood on his head."

"We definitely had to dig in tonight."

Holloway certainly dug in, scoring two goals in 17:20 of work. He has the most ice time of any Blues forward, a minute and a half more than anyone else.

How many times could he boast that in Edmonton?

The 23-year-old forward is well on his way to a career year. In eight games he has four points and is averaging three and a half more minutes of ice time per game compared to last year.

And with Robert Thomas injured, that number will certainly go up.

So far this year, Holloway is proving that Blues GM Doug Armstrong was justified in offering him a two-year $2.29-million contract. If he continues on his trajectory and provides 40 points, that's definitely money well spent by the veteran GM.

Oilers fans who want to monitor Holloway and Broberg should know that the Blues are in action again tomorrow night against the Montreal Canadiens.
