The former Edmonton Oilers forward was playing overseas this season.
The Edmonton Oilers have been cooking with gas recently. They added to their win streak by defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-2 last night at Rogers Place. Ryan McLeod had a great game - contributing an assist to the game tying goal and scoring the game winner.
There is another depth forward - who used to play for the but found his way overseas the past few years. Tyler Ennis has played in a professional Swiss league as well as the professional league in Germany (DEL).

Across those two seasons he played 44 games and collected 38 points. He only played seven of those games this season however.
Earlier today it was announced that Ennis was retiring from hockey.
Ennis spent two seasons with the Oilers. He played 39 games and had 13 points. His best offensive output in the NHL came as a member of the Buffalo Sabres. In 2014-15 he registered 46 points in 78 games.

Ennis played in the NHL for 14 years. In addition to playing for the Sabres and Oilers, he spent time with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators and Minnesota Wild.
All the best to Ennis in retirement.
