The current Boston Bruins forward is taking a leave of absence from the team.

Paul Coffey has been hired as the new defense coach for the Edmonton Oilers under Kris Knoblauch.

One of many changes this past off season for the Boston Bruins was signing Milan Lucic as a free agent. The former Edmonton Oilers forward decided to return back to the team that drafted him.

Three weeks ago Lucic was placed on LTIR because of an ankle-related injury. Now his situation has become more complicated.

Earlier this morning the Bruins made an announcement on the availability of Lucic moving forward.

There were a few other journalists on Twitter who had more information to share on what has transpired.

According to news outlet WCVB-TV Boston, Lucic was arrested after a domestic incident early Saturday morning. Because of that, he is taking a leave of absence from the team.

There is no other information available at this time.
