

The Edmonton Oilers recently announced some roster moves. Drake Caggulia and Greg McKegg were put on waivers for purpose of assignment to Bakersfield. Olivier Rodrigue and Carter Savoie were also loaned to Bakersfield - among many others.

A former fan favorite of the Oilers was just released from his PTO with the Boston Bruins. Alex Chiasson will be looking elsewhere for an opportunity at NHL minutes this season.
Chiasson scored a career high 22 goals in his first season with the Oilers. He was utilized on the power play, and made good on his opportunity. In the past four years he hasn't eclipsed 13 goals.
Alex Chiasson. While it's unreasonable to expect another 20-goal season from the NHL veteran - whichever team decides to give him a chance could expect a 10-goal performance for the 2023-24 season.
